Teenage days

Teenage boys in flight

The grass was green
And mornings, quite cool
The noon more kind
And I – a young fool

Earth was more, and concrete, less
Talk was sweet, touch was a fuss
To wink was naughty, kiss- a big mess
And I was happy with less

Elders- as annoying
We – more forgiving
Skin thinner but my head had hair
And fantasies full of maidens fair

Girls- pretty, and women- aunties
Phone was at home, and love laced letters
The Net caught fishes or made by spiders
And games played- without consoles

Each aliquot of time, close and dear
Every generation keeps it near.
As time passes, with a silent roar,
Flows and fades, gone forever.
