Metro- The Waiting

poem

The city lay, tired and resigned

Roads-thin thighs-not enough

Barricades placed in the middle

The consensual violation unrelenting

Raising, piling, building, structuring

The skyward growing erections

The cramp, the crowding, the narrowing

The frantic thrusts of the harried bustle

Waiting for the orgasm of liberation

The sleek blur of long tailed engines

Whizzing overhead in an

Ejaculation of newness

And to pant in the freedom

Of a little more space.
